I always look forward to Friday for one of my favorite weekly events, Mini-game night. I'm sure everyone can agree that this night is really favored by the CSS Division and it features some pretty unique maps and gametypes. A new gametype that I recently came across and is surprisingly old is Hide n Seek. To those who have played TF2 know this as "Prop Hunt" and some of you may have come across some videos featuring this gametype. To anyone not familiar with this gametype, I'll give a brief synopsis of each role which should give you a decent understanding of how the game is played.

Terrorists
When the round begins, a command window will appear, allowing you to pick from multiple props featured on a map. Using Dust2 as an example, you can pick to be a barrel, crate, bomb, even a counter terrorist (bad prop because the legs don't move, but it is funny). After choosing your prop, you are given a certain amount of time to find a place on the map to "hide". However, by "hiding" you are trying to find a spot that looks "natural" like the map maker actually placed the prop you chose in the position you are standing.

Counter-Terrorist
Your job is the seeker. At the beginning of the round you are blinded so you can't see where the terrorists hide and this is also the time to buy whatever guns you want to flush out the hiding spots of the terrorist. Although, you should keep in mind that as a seeker when you fire one bullet or "slash" with your knife, you lose a certain amount of health. This setting is put in place so the seekers can't just spray and pray to find the terrorists. After choosing weapons, the seekers then have until the end of the round to kill all terrorists.

If this appeals to you then I'm glad because it is a great gametype and a lot of fun. If your still confused about how this game works exactly, click on the links below to watch some videos of the game in CSS and TF2. There is also a link for anyone interested in downloading a version of CSS Hide n Seek that I found while browsing through the interwebs.

The cs:s hide n seek mod is very good i used to play it alot and would love to see it at an event

Well that's unfortunate, but I'm sure there are multiple versions for this mod and hopefully one that doesn't require a mani admin plugin which I assume is a version that is similar to the TF2 prop hunt.

CS:S Hide and Seek is pretty fun. I prefer GMod Hide and Seek, I think its a lot more fun

It is up to the event planners of course, but if this is event is feasible I believe it would be well worth our time!
