Future Call of Duty game Fee

Why is this an issue? If they're making subscriptions then its obviously going to be a MMO based game. If I remember correctly, WoW has monthly fees, whats so shocking about Activision doing it?

Everyone knows this has been coming, and everyone who plays games from Activision will have to cope with the changes they made as it is their company.

Hahaha $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ision.

AHHHHH WERE RUNNING LOW ON GOLDEN TOILET PAPER. Hurry! What's the quickest way to turn a profit.. *looks at their blizzard counterparts*. Oh I know, make the huge player base of CoD pay a subscription fee. But wouldn't we have to make a MMO for that? Nah, the CoD players will pay it to play the same FPS. Brilliant!

This.

Yep, it's going to be an MMO. There's been talk of one since November. Why all the flack over a time tested model for this type of game.

Dumbest idea ever. Only mmo's should be like that really. MW2 online is brutally bad as is. If people have to pay, sales for mw2 pc will hit rock bottom

Because it betrays everything Infinity Ward originally had? Because it is a giant sucker punch to anyone who loved the original Call of Duty's? Because it shows how bad the videogaming industry is now? Because dedicated servers are one of the biggest life lines to PC gaming?

Someone tell me how Bobby Kod*k is even slightly eligible to be CEO of Activision? He was freakin president of 4KidsTv before that, how the hell does he move up the chain?
I give up on CoD for the PC.

Who says there won't be a rush to buy the game anyway? I think a lot of the die hard fans wont care and will still get it anyway. (Not saying I am one of them, I think the idea of subscription is horrible.)

How is this a sucker punch to anything or betrays anything?

Where in the tenants of making a gaming franchise does it say thou shall not make an MMO? This article has nothing to do with dedicated servers, what it does say is that a future iteration of the Call of Duty franchise will be subscription based.

...Also where is the strongest base for MMO games? Oh, that's right, the PC.

Have you ever heard of an FPS game that was subscription based?? I don't think i have. Making an MMO game subscription based is fine as it's become a trend. But FPS games have always been pay for the game and play online free.

This seems so stupid in my opinion. Honestly an MMO of CoD Is just stupid. Who wants to walk around killing like people or animals for two hours to level up just to get killed by a stronger player? Nobody... We just want to play mindless death matches where we all shoot the crap out of people. Idk Activision just wants money... End of Story.
