Insurgency Tech Related Question

I downloaded Insurgency about 2 days ago. And I played it without any problems for about 1 day and a half. Then just recently yesterday I could open INS and join a server and it worked no problem but when I would choose my team and then choose my gun and stuff, and then when I load my gun the game freezes and turns to a black screen (this is in full screen mode) it goes out of full screen mode and then says hl2.exe has stopped responding. And then it closes. Why is this happening? I have tried restarting steam, I've restarted my computer but that's about it. Please any help would be fantastic.

I considered that, but then I thought to myself, why would my team die everytime I log in... they must really be horrible at this game lol.

Anyway, is it possible your graphics are running to high and it's crashing you?

I have a well I won't use the term Rare, but I have a graphics card that you don't see very often. And many games don't recognize it. So if your asking is this the case I don't think so because I was playing it successfully a few days ago.

This error seems strange, try this out

The link lists the fixes for all the known crashes. If that does not work I'll look for another solution

this happens to me all the time on win 7. the game will crash randomly or not load properly and when it dose work and i exit the game it tells me hl2.exe has stopped responding instead of closing the game. its never happened on XP and i think vista was fine so it might just be a win 7 problem.........?

I have Vista.

And right now I am defragging the game to see if it works.

Same problem I had on Windows 7 and Vista.

Try to disable the HDR (High Dynamic Range) and make sure your rare video card drivers are up to date.

But like xSimon said, the team selection screen is really glitchy.

Also Simon do you remember the name of my Graphics card I posted it on frugoo awhile back but I can't remember the name. If you can't either i'll look for it.
Nevermind Simon I got it.

My graphics card was up to date.
