The Last Airbender (Movie)

It appears M. Night Shyamalan is directing the movie version of The Last Airbender. The action seems a little cheesy like the DBZ live action (bleh) movie, I don't trust Shyamalan with such a good series, and I think that there is way to much going on in the 3 seasons to sum it up in 2 hours.

Its based on the first season

but still 10hrs of show (20 eps) crammed in to what is prolly' going to be a 2hr movie...

Phew, that's good. As long as the gap between the 3 movie releases isn't too large. It would proably be better if it was one of those longer movies (3hrs), but unfortunately I don't think they'll do that because a kid won't sit still in the theater for 3 hours.
 
His children are huge Avatar fans. Apparently he watched the whole series and his kids said if he messes the movie up they wont talk to him for a while.

I think it looks good. Seems like the bending is looking good too. Bending is based on some martial arts so I think real martial artists can pull it off as long as the cgi isnt sketchy

Have you seen The Happening? Mr. Shyamalan is capable of more failure than most people on the planet. His films have been getting exponentially worse since The Sixth Sense, which in theory, means that this movie could be much worse than The Happening.
 
Awww I liked the Sixth Sense, DragonBall Z the Movie wasn't bad either, just not very good if you are older than say.....13. LOL but i could think of a few movies I would go see before this one, at least in the theaters.
 
M. Night Shyamalan? I watched the entire series, and to be honest, there's no way he can direct this right. There's no huge twist... but I'm sure he'll make one.
 
I love all the Anti-Shyamalans. The happening was so terrible it made me want to commit suicide, without needing some airborn pathogen to do it for me, although it may have just been Mark Wahlberg. I will see this, only because I am a fanboy of the animated series XD
 
animated series? is that another name for cartoon? lol next they will call dolls "action figures"
and comic books "graphic novels"

I've never heard of him :P The film looks good to me though. But personally I think this kind of series should be left as it is. Animated., but I agree.. the series are way to big to fit in a 2-3 hour movie... pitty.

Honestly the Happening was horrible. I went to see it in theaters and me and my friends just started licking skittles and throwing them at the screen. Win

So i think were all in agreement that this is going to be horrible.
