Do you remember the day you bought that game(s) that changed your life/the way you play games/was just a great game you still play tons of?
I always remember two games that I bought.
First, Counter-Strike when it first came out. I drove out to the mall about an hour from my house for that one game. They were the only place I could buy the game without ordering it. I remember walking through the mall and going to gamestop and finding one of the last copies like under the PC game rack and being sooo happy. My mom didn't really want me to get it because I was still pretty young at the time too... Wow... that was a long time ago.
The other game I remember getting was World of Warcraft. I went to a boarding school during my high school years and we didn't have access to games or anything. I had a few friends that lived off campus and drove to class every day and one of them was really into WoW and was constantly talking about it during Alpha and Beta. By the time the game released I was soooo anxious to have it. It actually released on the day of my high school graduation and my mom bought the game for me and inside the cover was a printed out picture of my first iBook which was my real grad present (she knew I wanted to go into design). I played the game since launch, and still have a semi-active subscription. I'm more into Warhammer Online now though, and even more into Warhammer 40K (tabletop).
So yeah. Thought it might be interesting to hear some stories from you guys about games that really stuck in your memory.

. That other game was... Warcraft III, which I played for about a year then I got... The Orange Box, and that kinda opened up the flood gates to buying games (although my favorite purchase of all time is still the orange box ^.^)
