Sometimes when I play CoD4, I get this bug where the screen will produce squares that are strange colors like solid blue. It usually happens to the diagonal left side of my computer. I hear it happens a lot to nvidia 9800 GTX, which is the GPU that I have. Does anyone know a fix?

Usually that means it's overheating (or if you overclock, you went too far).

Download EVGA precision http://www.evga.com/PRecision/ (it'll work even on a non EVGA card) and when you run a real graphic intense game (Cod4, Crysis, GTA4) turn the fan speed up to at least over 50-60%

Thanks for the help. Sorry for posting in the wrong section though, I was hurried and accidentally pressed the wrong button.

Whoa, that's really high. Above 70 I start to get uncomfortable.

Take a look for yourself

Depends on how clean and dust free your house can be. When I stayed at my grandpa's, the dust was horrible and it was only for 3 weeks. Gotta do the CPU fan as well :P

Ima take the casing apart and take out all the dust. I shined a flashlight through the vents to look at the fan and MAN was it dirty.

Well the canned air works really good, especially with the straw. An old toothbrush actually works really good too.

Holy crap that's hot! My cards run 50C idle and around 60C under load.

The 200 series downclocks on idle to save power and run cooler, when it glitches and doesn't downclock it stays around 50, but that doesn't happen much.
