Hello Edgegamers! I am currently needing money to fund my gmod server and gas money. I was thinking about ways to make money. The options i have thought about have been Photography. I am a very good photographer at landscapes and flowers but i am not sure how to get started. I thought about starting a photography company but...i really aren't sure how. I also thought about selling stuff off ebay like used games etc. I also have an extensive collection of antiques and coins i would be willing to sell for the right price. My last option is to write a book. This scares me! I think i could do it but... Idk books are just blah! Anyway what do you guys suggest that i do to make some extra cash besides get a real job because i have school. I just turned 15 btw. Any help would be appreciated!

What kind of antiques are you looking to ditch?

Also, since youre 15, the easiest way to make cash is yard work around the neighborhood

I live in Alabama Yard work lol i live in a nice house but it's like in the middle of nowhere. most people use goats as lawn mowers lol jk jk. but antiques well i have lots of foreign coins and old coins. I have a ancient roman coin umm I have a 1923 Dominion of Canadian shinplaster 25 cent currency. Just lot's of old stuff that's worth a bit.

haha you know, this may sound crazy, but i heard on the radio that company's like krispy creme and redbull are paying people to put huge banners on their cars. They give you a GPS so that they can track how many miles you go with it. If i remember right, they give you like a $100/month. hahaha.

Well.....15 years old, needs money, for gas and to fund a "gmod" server.....

A. Choose either or do you need gas, or do you want a "gmod" server?
- Priorities Kid. What's more important to you.

B. If you want both, minimize your driving. I know being 15 you want to anywhere and everywhere besides home. I'm 23 and I still do that.
- Use the phone more, internet, and car pool with friends.

C. There are plenty of jobs for 15 year olds that do not require 20+ hours a week, I would say if your "gmod" server gets populated start selling admin (if allowed).
- Start doing stuff for your parents, helping outside, asking is a good idea also, bargain but do not demand money. When I was 15 I did a contract with my parents, I would clean the house for a week for $50, I got half up front, and $25 when finished.

Theres ways to make money, just have to find it.
Sources: Online surveys pays money, Mystery shoppers, Online tech help does also. Etc.

wait, you just turned 15 and you need gas money? why are you driving?

also you could just get a job at a grocery store or something as a bagger.

Hard to tell you what to do really...
I aren't in need of cash, but luckily a friend of mine who works at a record company needed some help. I do small stuff for them, put videos on youtube, promote their bands here and there.

But yeah Yard work is the ideal way to earn money as a T-ager

btw: that book thing you talked about, you were beign ironic right?

Get a real job. You may not have success with the other things, but if you get a real job you will always have that wither weekly or bi-weekly check! (unless you get fired or dont work hard enough and they take away your hours)

if you like coffee check out some local cafes for a barista job it pay's minimum wage + tips and has flexible hours. and cafe's have high turnover and hire a lot.

when i was managing i would take anyone with a good personality that works good with people over actual experience.

if you do something like that your better off with local ones instead of chains because you will have a better chance of a raise and tips will be a bet better

Hey man thanks for your input i might just try a contract. :)

sure no worries. best of luck.

another option would be...

when i was in highschool, i knew a kid who was real computer savvy. He started up his own search engine/site and had advertisments on it. they paid him, and then eventually he sold it. he made his millions before he even graduated. went to emory and now is a big shot computer geek haha.

but there's always ways to make money. best of luck.

I'd check out the local Restaurants...You'd prolley get paid under the table and thats alway a plus cause none of ur money goes to the man :)

Writing books? yes and a no.

In this generation a lot of people find it boring to read books, but if you make that book really interesting then people would buy it. Writing a book can be tough since it takes time and it might take a long time to get published.

Try making a small book about how to be good at First Person Shooters.

Get a work permit from your local school board. With a work permit, you can be hired at grocery stores, restaurants, pet stores, or the local mall.

If you're truly in a rural area, like Fluffy and I are right now, then there are always odd jobs to pick up around the town. Painting, baling, hauling stuff around farms, or cleaning jobs are perfect for teenagers. It's quick cash, usually only a day or weekend worth of work, and if you give the people your number, they'll call you back later for other jobs if you did what you're paid to do.

If you've got good grades, check into tutoring programs at your school. Some programs are for credits only, while others pay the tutor per hour. You might want to check with Fluffy the Destroyer on vent, and ask her about tutoring. I know she did that in high school and college.

There's the basics: Babysitting or yardwork

If you're a writer, search up freelance jobs. Those can pay anywhere between $3 and $350 per writing project - more if you build up your reputation as a versatile writer.

Before you start selling off any valuables, get them appraised so you don't get ripped off. Then, if it's stuff you really don't want to keep around anyway, eBay it or sell it to private collectors. The appraisal certificate (if the items are really valuable or need authentication) can be factored into the selling price.

Good luck.
