Anyone play the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series?

As the title says, anyone play any of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games? I've played them all except I never really got into clear sky since it was a bit of a disappointment and very buggy.

The games actually made me interested in the Chernobyl Disaster and since playing I've read A LOT about it, and I just love the atmosphere of the game in general.

Right now I just got Call of pripyat via STEAM and I'm a few hours into it. So far it's better than its two predecessors.

So yeah who plays it? whats your favorite aspect of the games and which one thus far is your favorite? =]

I've only played the first one. I've been meaning to load it up again with that "STALKER Complete 2009" mod and give it another run-through.

Stalker hates me. I'm a pack rat, so I pick up everything I see. What I wind up doing is using a couple stiff as backpacks, then drag them to one of the guys you can sell to. I've dragged bodies weighing over a metric ton through two zones to satisfy my compulsion. Aside from that, I've enjoyed the series. Well, I've only played the first and have yet to complete it (sidetracked by other games), but I feel that's irrelevant.

Cool cool. I recommend you give call of pripyat a shot, in my opinion it surpasses shadow of Chernobyl. =]

I LOVED the first one. I havent finished Clear Sky, but im looking forward to Call of Pripyat =)

What!!!? You Compare SOC To COP...Blasphemy...The story for Cop was entirely too short...Even if you did all the side quests and collected all the stashes etc gameplay time would not compare to SOC or CS for that matter...The first 2 were the good ones this last one seems to be a flop (But COP surprisingly ran 10X smoother than the other 2 games on my pc which tbh confused me but im not complaining )

The whole Chernobyl disaster is why I picked up the first Stalker game...I'd love to be able to walk around Pripyat but I doubt I'll ever get that chance lol

Well. I didn't consider the fact that CoP is a bit short, but as you said so far it does run smoother than the first two games.. Only sad thing is yesterday was the first time my CoP crashed, 2 hours of unsaved data lost.. -_-


Also I'm sure your aware of the fact that they do do guided tours of pripyat with claims that it's safe enough, all though I still have my doubts lol.
