Just wondering If my PC would play BF:BC2 with good FPS. I'm skeptical on the CPU and Video card for the most part. Not sure if I would get "playable" rates in BC2. I can max Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Dragon Age: Origins.

Specs:
CPU: Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz
RAM: 4GB
OS: Windows 7
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4850
HDD: WD 640GB
Monitor: 19" Hanns-G

It should be ok. Your specs look pretty good and aren't too outta date.

Ok. I mean I plan to update my card to a DX11 at sometime when I get the money for one. Was just wondering if I could play it at playable rates like I said. Rates that won't be a constant 15 FPS. I know the Frostbite engine is pretty heavy.

Yeah, you'll be fine, on low settings I run a constant 40-50 FPS and I have worse specs than you do. Of course I might be able to bump up to medium now as they just released a patch that improves performance for dual cores :)

Watched some videos on BC2 with worse GFX cards than mine and people running it on Low and Medium and the game actually looks really good just on Low and Medium. Guess it's time too cancel the 360 preorder and get the PC preorder. Getting the word that eGO is going to have servers is going to make the game a lot better for me.

yeah i have a crappier gfx card, but better cpu. and i run on med just fine.

dont worry about it.

yeah we are going to have 4 servers in TX and 1 in EU (i think)

You'll do GREAT, I have a 3850, and i play on low/fine decently, a 4870 is what is recommended and you have a 4850. I'm sure you'll be able to run it on high providing your processor doesn't hold you back. They've recently increased performance for dual cores and it should be even better in retail.
