Thanks to everyone who showed up, and I'll do a brief recap here:
1.) Recruiting - Recruiting is now in each division's hands, and this is why we have started up the Recruiters again; PM Spray to join that group. Our dedicated recruiters are welcome to wear the {R} tag after their names, but remember that ALL eGO MEMBERS, regardless of rank, are allowed to recruit. We have even had pubbers recruit for us in the past! As Fluffy said, the recent problems due to miscommunication between us and the PSC is over; our duty is to get people here to the forums and sign up. Theirs is to process the application and officially induct them into the eGO family.
2.) Rules and policies - We kind of got tied up with answering questions about what is and is not acceptable in eGO servers for a little while, particularly regarding racism and player names. Admins interested in learning more should look for the next Advanced Admin Training class, where we discuss this in particular. Similarly, while not mandatory in DoD, we highly recommend that our admins take an admin training class. Remember to follow the chain of command on such issues as appropriate. EDIT: I have posted an Admin 101 class for interested eGs and eGOs; please visit (http://www.edgegamers.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1284693#post1284693) to sign up.
3.) Promotions - As I said last night, the fact that we've been working on a promotion list has more or less been the worst-kept secret in eGO as of late. Have somebody that you would like to see promoted? This is just one use of the Drop Box. Naturally, you're also always welcome to talk to a member of Leadership in Ventrilo as well. Please DO NOT waste your time and ours with recommendations for eGOs to become Advisors or above. It's not a popularity contest, and there's much more that goes into these high-level promotions.
4.) Ventrilo - We need to see more people in Ventrilo; there's a dedicated group of players that we see every night, but we love to see new members there in particular; it's how we get to know everyone!
5.) Colmar Server - A stress test was done after the meeting, and the server performed VERY well. We are working to get HLStatsX installed on it, and then we should be ready for primetime. This is an instant respawn server, and the first of its kind. If you have suggestions for an alternative map, we can discuss it, but you can also post in...
6.) The Drop Box - I sometimes wonder if the relative lack of DoD-specific posts in there is good or bad, but I think it's a positive thing. The Drop Box is there for award/promotion recommendations, concerns, suggestions, and similar things. It is confidential, and only visible to Advisors and above. Feel free to use this if necessary; just don't spam it with routine things.
