pre download bad company 2 early?

Apparently, come February 28th, users will be able to start downloading Bad Company 2 for the pc. Not sure if its only for users that have pre-ordered the game off ea store. If so then I guess those, including me, that have gotten if off steam just got screwed over :O

Sweet, I ordered with them. It would be nice to have it earlier than waiting for it to come to my house 5 days after you can buy it in a store. I never saw the Digital Pre-Order box. So I had to order a hard copy. . I even tried to get them to switch my order, but all sales are final.

Edit: Just looked up the order... seems I am going to have to wait till I get my game in the mail.

I bought BF 2142 through the EA Download Manager thing a year ago and its pretty crappy.
I'm pretty sure steam will do the same thing and I would rather download through steam than the EADM

Pyro I think you might be misunderstanding the meaning of preload.

Pre-load does not mean Pre-play, it just downloads early so you dont have to wait through the inevitable slow downloads when everyone else is getting their copy. It still wont unlock and allow you to play until the launch date.

I hope they offer this for steam too, I cant stand downloading the game while everyone else is playing the game
