Friends List Disappear

Ok some of you may be having this problem and this thread is to try and calm the rage and prevent 20 threads about it. The update today in some cases wipes the friends list clean but leaves your name on other players lists. Well all for now. Dead Tom

EDIT1: Told they have noticed the error and are working on it. Its not everyone it seems just random.

Ah thank you so much! At first I was like ok its just because the friends network was down. Then after I realized ALL my friends were deleted from my end of the list, I almost threw my keyboard at my monitor.
Gonna put in a support ticket in that case.

Just its gonna be a drag to have to re-add all my friends, especially to the fact that I dont remember all that were on it.

I wouldn't start deleting yourself from your friends just yet. They are working on the problem right now and probably will roll back the update.

Well if it is, then some of my friends are very lucky since they didn't get wiped.

As for the ticket, Im taking your word on it and will wait and see what happens.

Valve support staff keep updating the thread and are informing us on the current situation. Just wait it out, they are pushing out a fix as I said in my other post. Just be patient and we'll all be able to communicate with each other soon enough.

There is no need to do anything on your end currently, as Valve are working for a fix on their end.

For those who dont know, it was Steam's bad with their latest update that caused the wipe in everyone's friend list.

But yush. They're working on fixing it. Hopefully they also have a backup of everyone's friends there.

I tend to run around like a chicken with its head cut off when eG0 servers go down. I find all my friends in Turbine so it's really no issue for me.
