Hello:),

I have a little problem.
I bought a month ago the Logitech G35. And each time i restart the computer i have to unplug the USB from the headset, and put it back. Otherwise it wont work. Today i bought the Logitech G9x mouse. and it gives the same problem.
And its pretty anoying to unplug everything and then put if back before you can do anything. So does somebody have a solution for this?

BlackBird.;)

Im also having a similar problem to this, but mine is with my external USB hdd. When i restart my computer and leave it plugged in my computer wont turn on. So if anyone has a fix to these problems it would help both of us.

A good idea for both of you is to make sure the hardware is safely removed. This should turn off your HDD if its fairly new. If you have USB on the front and thats where you are plugging in that should be too annoying if the removal idea doesn't work.

I had this problem with my iPod, I personally updated my BIOS and that fixed it for me.

EDIT: There's often different versions of BIOS.
For instance one BIOS might be for better wireless computability while another one is just for hardware support.

It's not ALL for being up-to-date but having a BIOS in relations to what you're doing.

Have you tried device manager?

Do a test, restart your computer.
When it first loads with the USB headset plugged in, see if it shows up under Device Manager.

This will determine if DeviceManager notices it but Windows isn't loading any drivers yet or if it's just not being noticed at all.

Check your boot device order, windows is probably trying to boot from your external disk.

As for the OP,
Make sure your BIOS knows you're using a PnP (Plug n Play) OS

Well yeah, this is unrelated to hot plugging but this is always good to keep in mind. I've been having the same problem and I know it's my motherboard. I've just been too lazy to update my BIOS. :P

My problem only happens when i turn off my computer and then turn off the power supply and leave the Hard drive plugged in. My BIOS is up to date and i know its not trying to boot from the external hard disk. Anyone know why its doing this?

What kind of motherboard do you have? Or what kind of system (dell, hp, etc..)?

I know HP/Compaqs have this problem somewhat...

Did you say this only happens with the new mouse or both?
