Lately I have noticed some "e's" and pubber's accuse player's of hacking in open chat, please refrain from this and ask the pubber's not do it, advise them to tell the admin in private admin chat as a hacker will when accused turn his hacks off when admin goe's into spec to view him thus wasting admins time. I do spec players who have a high kill rate and a low death rate even if they are member's and I am sure other admins do the same but warning them does no good. I am sure that the dumb hacker will get caught eventually.
If you dont know how to use private admin chat ask me in game.

If there isn't an admin available you can always record a demo of the accused and submit a ban request by following the procedures outlined in the DoD:S Ban Request forum (http://edgegamers.org/forums/showthread.php?t=66520).

And for 'e's: admin chat is, while in TEAM chat, type a @ followed by the message. It should look as follows: "say_teamspray is definitely cheating" Keep in mind that since you're not an admin you won't be able to see what you typed (which means it worked!) but trust that an admin will see it and respond to you with a PM thanking you for the heads up.

yea i have seen a lot of this when i went 75 and 0 with the Thompson they said i was hacking but i was camping

And yeah when I see someone maybe hacking, I ask the admins by ''u@'' and send them a message about the person and ask them to spectate.. sometimes they do sometimes they dont. :crying:

Also, if someone is hacking clearly don't get the whole server in a up roar while an admin is getting a demo.

If you ever see hackers, you have to options a) If an admin is on the other team, and he doesn't notice that there is a hacker in your team, use admin chat u@ "Your massage" or b) Call an admin from your friends list, get his (hackers) STEAM ID and name (how can you give someone a STEAM ID without a name ) incase he quits the server. You can usually use condump.

It's not only e's these days.. Since we have alot of very good players on our servers these days the accouses of people hacking have gone up ALOT. It might just be me noticing it more since I got my G but still.

Don't deal with the shady koreans, I went to them a year ago with intel on Spray, I think they used it to get close to him and I'm pretty sure they have some dirt they're blackmailing him for. Look at him now, division leader, a position of great, nearly unchecked power, and the plans that the Koreans have hatched are finally coming to fruition. Fair warning

Oh, what, huh? No, not THOSE Koreans. There's two of 'em, let's not forget. Yeah those guys approached me but I wouldn't sell you out like that--I'm talking about the other ones. Yeah, I guess they're working on some photo/video montage (set to all the newest 80's music that is big over there right now) dedicated to you. They're convinced that you're the real Ron Paul and your playing DoD fascinates them.

Yeah. The only problem is it's like crying wolf. Accuse once and and never be believed afterwords. Could be a potential problem if admins don't hear out other players, but I do agree that it should be done quietly.. just my 2 cents input.

actually...idk about the other admins...but personally...if i recieve a complaint about some one potentially hacking...i look at their score before i do anything...if they dont have some crazy good K ratio...i usually dont bother with them unless i start getting multiple complaints...

its always important to spec the accused because i think a lot of admins on other servers dont and just drop the banhammer as soon as someone is accused.

Our system is as close to ideal as you can make it. I love that there's an official review process by expert analysts who can really dissect the nature of the hacks. None of this 'willy-nilly' ban-on-a-whim garbage that so many server admins are guilty of
