Ok I just built a new PC with 4Gb DDR3 1600Mhz RAM, AMD Phenom II x4 955, ATI Radeon 5770, ASUS M4A79XTD MOBO, 500Gb HD, LG 32LH30 32'' monitor. Which should be able to run WoW and CSS like a calculator to numbers.

However, when I first installed WoW and CSS my framerates were strangely low then, I started getting a 60 Solid in WoW, and over 200 in CSS. But just recently, I cant get above 25 in WoW and 45 in CSS.

Heres a timeline:

1-Built PC
2-Installed WoW and CSS
3-Had low framerates for some reason
4-Installed BF2 with Dx9 redistributable
5-Had amazingly high framerates in WoW and CSS
6-Installed AVA (Alliance of Valliant Arms)
7-Getting strangely low framerates again
8-Annoyed and confused

If anyone has any ideas as to why my framerates went from crap to amazing back to crap it would be a great help.

Make sure your video drivers are up to date. Windows 7 doesn't always install the correct drivers for ATI cards.

i was going to say i had that problem once but it was due to low power from my psu ... alot of the new cards will drain quite alot of juice from the psu so maybe could be that ...

*SOLVED*

I was bottle-necking my card through CCC. I put the 3D settings to max quality and I am now getting regular frame rates. Thank you to all that replied. :)
