I have the Uverse Fiber line and I pay about $39 for 8 Mb/s Up 1.5 down. I don't get anywhere near that when I'm DLing. Quite annoying considering they said it would be a constant rate between 6-8 and I'm lucky if I get 3, sometimes 2.

All I can say is, give it a try. If you don't have to sign a contract (I didn't), then what do you have to lose?

Downloading is lower due to the servers you download it off. You will rarely get the advertised speed you pay for but that's not because htey ain't giving it to you, it's because of the servers your download off of.

Try speedtest.net, you will get your real full results there. If you get 8Mb/s down etc..then your all good.

$99 for cable phone and internet it's basic cable though but I don't watch the tv that much
I think my speed is faster than whats posted on the link below because I have
2 computers wired to this rotter plus 3 also connected wireless
