Newegg PSU Calculator...

Corsair has about the same thing too on their site, but it asks if you overclock.

IMO, in general, these are okay. But like they are still kind of off if you ask me. When i put in components with overclock and clicked, i felt like they recommended a PSU way more than needed or showed that my power consumption was a lot more than it is.

Keep in mind that Newegg is trying to sell more stuff, so it is possible that they are skewing it so you pay for more than you need. Then again when i did it it said i only need 483w, and there is no way that my 4890+ heavily OC'ed Phenom use that little

Same here, it recommended a 566W for me, I think I'll stay with my 850W instead!

The real way to do it is to add up the TDP of all components, and get a PSU so that your systems max power draw is around 75% of your PSU's maximum power output. Keep future upgrades in mind too.

Yea....i just bought a 1000w PSU a while back so i didn't have to worry =D

Came in handy cuz i went tri-fire 4850's so i didn't have to worry bout my PSU.
