When I run BFBC2, I am using the bare minimum reqs by the way, I go to play single player, and during the opening the screen flashes white, then once I'm on the boat, after the guy says "You missed a spot" and the "use mouse to look around" message appears, the screen goes white, and I can only hear the in-game sounds

Sounds like a video card issue going on. I havent played the game yet so I cant say whether or not this is supposed to happen... Although it surely sounds like a no.

No it isn't supposed to happen, it sounds similar to how the game will sometimes crash when you minimize and when you bring it back up you just get a white screen. The only fix I know for that is to exit and restart the game :(

make sure your videocard drivers are updated, if not, I'm not sure you can run it

Keep in mind this game "recommends" a quadcore chip. Knowing what hardware you currently have might shed some light on it.

Mostly likely using one of the chipsets that stopped supporting drivers. Can't really get around this issue.

Guessing you have a x1900.

My brother had the exact same issue and I helped him fix it by downloading the latest drivers for his card (3870, if you wanna know).

Yes, updating your graphics card drivers is usually a tremendous help. but if we had your computer specs we could be of more help.
