Too much lag in Bfbc2

Hey guys, I play Bad Company 2 for the PC and it's awesome. The only problem for me is that I lag and I keep getting disconnected from the servers. I lag in all servers including the Edgegamers (Dallas) ones. Even though it is in Dallas, I live in California. I do play other new games Like Team Fortress 2 and Modern Warfare 2. But I don't have problems with those games.


In BFBC2 I have all my settings on low. (still lag)

My Computer is not that great since it is a media computer

P.S : I can't buy a new graphics card, im poor :(
 
It may be your processor making the problem.

2.2 barly passes minimum specs for BC2.

You might want to look into more if u want to.
 
if you're lagging on the network (your ping is high, you have high packet loss or choke) it probably has nothing to do with your machine. If your lag is video related (your framerate is low or becomes low in graphically demanding situations) your machine just isn't up to snuff, which isn't too much of a stretch given your specs
 
Well i cant really give you tips on what to do unless you can tell me if your lagging from your fps or network. If it is low fps their is a lot you can do (configure settings,upgrades etc...) If it is you internet connection i could figure something out for you. Any extra details?
 
Maybe your computer needs a clean up to delete the unusable files and cookies.There is a program you can download to do that it's called CCLEANER.

Also if you are from Europe and you are playing at an USA server you will get higher ping than the ping you get in European servers.BC2 Division has also 2 European servers I think so try to play there.Moreover, you shouldn't leave your web-browser or any torrent program open while you are playing.That's all I know :)
 
All the servers are lagging now, the game just got released. It was the same as it was with BF2, it'll smooth over the course of a couple of days.

It isn't really my internet connection since I am using Fiber (At&t). And I also lag in the Dallas Edgegamers servers. PS Im in California
