Thread title says it all. I don't see the eGO servers when I go through my server listings and was wondering how to connect directly via IP. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

you could filter =(eGO)= and they all show up there

Bob, I had a similar issue. You may need to update your game already... I had no idea that the game would need an update at install. Try running the BFBC2 Updater if you haven't already.

I'm still having issues getting into servers as well as staying connected to them. I also just had my first crash to desktop, didn't even have one during beta. You may want to just update and hold off on the multiplayer for a day or two.

If it's a source game, open console with ~ key and type "connect IP#".

this is not based on the source engine or interface, but it's not uncommon for games to use the tilde to open a developer console, just not the case here, there is no console in BC2. Look for a UI addition later on, they patched BF2 a little while after it was released to allow for IP address input and better server management.

Did steam autopatch or do we need to do something else? Where can I find BFBC2 updater?

What type of game requires you to update immediately after you install? :scared:
That's just mean...if you're willing to spend $50 on a game and wait for it to install, I think the least it should do is install the latest version.

There is a day 1 patch, 300MB or so in size. They released a bunch of fixes that were made after the game went gold.

The beta was autopatched by Steam so I'm assuming that it will be the same with retail.

BC2 release = clooge

Everyone will learn super quick that EA stinks with releases! Were probably gonna get another 50 patches in the next 2 weeks to fix lag issues, glitches, tree formations, tiny little things! Gets kind of annoying when all you want to do is play a super fun game.

... and a month from now this game will be rock solid, and then they'll start releasing patches with features instead of bug fixes, and we'll be having fun with it for years. Just be patient, this is a massive release.

So, shall i wait a month to force my brother to buy the game? I dont want to go through all this hassle just to play it.

Its worth it Darth! You never know with EA. They tend to move slow sometimes, hopefully that has changed and they tackle these problems swiftly.

at the moment I am not find any of the servers regardless of what i search on...
