Battle of the bands

Well, only 7 other bands have entered into battle of the bands for this Saturday, and my band and i are having a dispute over our second song to play....

Zippy( Tyler Zipperer/ GUITARIST) and I (Jay,Ginger, well lets not go there unless you want me to tell you, so add me on steam to find out/ GUITARIST and VOCALIST) agreed on Static X's "the only".

John (Paco/ the DRUMMER) wants to do "Animal i have become" by Three days grace.

Ash ( Ashliegh/ BASSIST and VOCALIST) Says that three days grace is a maybe, and is easy to learn


only problem is, Three days grace's "Animal i have become" is really over played, so i kinda refuse to play it.


well, i need your help!! Your Vote will help decide what we choose!



in the poll, can you tell me who you would Rather listen to us play ( BTW i will be doing regular vocals for Wayne Statics Vocal parts on their song "the only", and the screams only on the heaviest part)

thats the mindset of every one for some reason

play a famous band. well static x is less known, but i would rather get more people into static-x than play a band that just about everybody knows.( all my friends technicaly know static x)

i also dont want people to be like "oh great, more people like this....."

Never been a Static X fan really. Since Destroyer they haven't seemed the same.

I am in a band as well and we have covered Animal I Have Become before as well. Sure it went over well with the fans. But the only problem is for me that the song is just lacking on every instrument. guitar is the same thing over and over so it was boring for me to play. The drums on that song are not that good and I don't see why your drummer would want to cover that song. So static-X is definitely my choice. If It were up to me though I would tell my band to cover some Metallica but the drummer doesn't think he can handle that D: By the way we lost a battle of the bands before for covering songs instead of another band who wrote their own. The judges enjoyed seeing other peoples songs rather then a cover of another bands. Just saying keep that in mind for the future

we do have 4 flat minutes left after if we do static -x

i just got in a seven string, ( i love my dean vendetta seven string, its beastly )

so i can do some rhythm, and zippy can do some soloing over it. ash and john will be on their own to figure out what to do.... (john is good like that. ash hasn't been playing bass for very long o-o, shes not as good like that.)

or i can use my jackson dinky guitar and zippy and i can switch between rhythm and lead. which we do mostly when we mess around

yeah, i totally agree about animal i have become, we actualy learned static-x in one hour. perfectly too!! i just have to work on vocals.

ironically, they shortened time from 10 min, to 8 min. so we can really only do two songs.
