eGO BC2 servers crashing...

I know leadership is probably aware of this already, but I thought I would point out that our BC2 servers were crashing last night about every 20-30 minutes. To check this against what others are experiencing, I went to another full server with 31-32 people on it, and played there for a while... a long while... like 2 hours. The server didn't crash a single time. That means that our servers are bugged.

Any idea when this may be fixed?

it could have meant that settings were being tweaked, as well. I noticed that the names of our servers changed last night which is something I'm not sure you can do on the fly in server console, therefore requiring a restart.

They weren't tweaking the settings. I was in the Vent room with Duality and other members of leadership. The crash surprised them too. They did change a couple of the servers to hardcore after the first crash, but that didn't help their stability.

Plus like one of the commentators said Battlefield games have a history of server issues on launch day. Give it a few days EA and Dice will sort it out and release patches for client side and server side. This is still one of the more smoother launches they have had simply because there is a single player to have fun with and get your mentality going. I'm sure Kendle and Artimus will get with the server hosts and figure out what the issue is. Its only release day + 1 it will get sorted.

EA's servers died last night (big surprise). It's a good time to beat the short SP campaign!

Ya I know that there EA Downloader crashed from all the people downloading it all at once.

Last night was kinda a pain EA Main server kept crashing me and logging me out of my BC2 account. Hope they get this sorted out soon.

i had little problems when i was playing last night/this morning. I was in vent when that crash happened as well. I dont know what happened, i also noticed i got bsod from playing the game but it seemed only on our servers, as i joined other ones and my pc was fine. Oh well... now i just need time to balance school, girlfriend, bc2, and WoW....

I'm sure they'll all have it sorted out as soon as they possibly can, I still found it great fun playing on our servers as well as other servers (which the ones I went to had the same crashing problem).

Hmm, it might just be due to all the people downloading it or something to do with that. Im sure they will sort it out.

Every battlefield game that has ever come out has had this problem in the first few weeks. Don't get me wrong I freaking love the Battlefield series! It just seems that the first couple weeks are full of crashes, 487 patch downloads to fix this and that. Super laggy servers, and what not. Once the game learns to transition from walk to crawl, everything should go smooth! I wish the battlefields would try and get away from EA... :mellow:

i had over 2500 points with a recon class in our server last night then our server crashed i was raged!

yeah same here beaverking. I had a feeling that this game was going to be glitchy or something would mess up. So that's why I ordered it from best buy so I could use my gift card, and I'll be getting it this weekend.

That's why you play the campaign when you can't play on line. You get to try out all the shinny guns you have not earned yet in multiplayer. And it's not bad to boot!

Or you let others find a stable server and then we all pile in like last night.,..
