Limited Edition Features?

Well I bought Bad Company 2 on Steam yesterday. It's awesome but I want to access my Limited Edition features.

How do I do that? I entered the Promo code and redeemed it, but nothing happened....what now?

Also, (REALLY n00b question here but) how the HECK do you pull out your knife?

You should have an extra gun and gadget unlocked, you can pick them before you spawn in a match.

And middle mouse button knifes, COD style, where it automatically pulls it out then knifes.

Well I bought mine from Steam yesterday too, but I didn't get the promo code. Waiting on them to reply and I'll let you know.

Thats because you havent joined a server yet.

Actually, I believe you get the weapons but you have to get to a certain level to actually be able to use the weapon. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I thought you could only get the SE by pre-ordering, or those weapons and stuff were just pre-order bonuses. Maybe I'm wrong though. If I am wrong then you should be able to see your second key by right clicking on the game in steam and clicking "View Game CD Keys" or something like that, and there will be two keys there, enter the second one under multiplayer/"redeem code" or something like that , good luck getting your stuff.

Interesting..I joined a server but I didn't instantly get the limited edition unlocks.

When i bought the game yesterday, it only gave me one code which was to originally activate the game, when i came on earlier this morning, i found the promotion code along with the activation code. I put the code in where it said redeem and when i joined the server, i had the extra's. So maybe have to wait a little?

Found a fix to get the promo code from buying off Steam, before March 16th.

Right click the game, go to properties, under the 'local files' tab, hit 'Verify integrity of game cache', then let it run that scan. Now the code should be under 'View game CD key'

once you get the promo code, go to your game, hit Multiplayer --> Redeem Code and type it in there. then you should be able to access the new weapons from your kit when you join a server. see ya in game! -Rip
