Mic broke

I don't think anything happened to my mic to make it break, it didn't fall or anything, and when I use the Windows speech tools, it recognizes the mic and I can hear myself, but of course in CSS it won't work. Yes the plugs are in the right spot. No, It's not USB so I don't think there would be any drivers for it.
Any Help?

I had this same problem as well.

What's your OS?
Do you have a webcam installed that has speech utilization?

I have XP, and no I don't have a webcam. I really don't want to buy a brand new mic QQ

Out of nowhere my mic started working again today !
