Curious of how well the release version of BFBC2 runs on your pc.
If I can get my xfire to work properly again. I'll hopefully have some FPS specs to post with differences in Dual Core vs Quad Core.

Thoughts/Opinions on how well BFBC2 runs on your system.

Here are my thoughts with only the processor changed on the system.
Nothing else.

E6550 Processor
My thoughts so far.. I have everything on medium and it runs ok.
Barely playable my my standards.
Might have to go SLI

Q9300 Processor
Much better but still not great. Definitely playable.


Q9550 Processor
Perfect. Plays nice and smooth.
Drops as low as 45fps on occasion.
Average is around 60fps
Maximum is >100 fps
Don't think I need the SLI afterall.

Final thoughts.
This game is definitely heavily dependant on the CPU. Substantial gains when going with a quad processor.

FPS: Alot, not sure exactly yet.


Awesome game, get lots of screen tearing when MSAA and AF are on, I dropped those down to 1x and I have no problems now in big firefights. Once I can actually connect to a sever I will be much happier

Sound Card: I 'unno, it's on the mobo and it works so good enough for me.
FPS: Around 60.

I run the game on high settings, afaik DX10 mode with HBAO off and AA/AF both set to 2x.
Looks awesome and feels awesome.

Specs in my signature, and the FPS usually stays above 70 without HSAO but everything else maxed.

FPS: Averages out to around 60-65 FPS in a full server


This game plays amazingly well on my current system. That's @ 1920x1200, 4xAA, 16xAF, HBAO off, everything else on high.

No problems at all. Extremely gorgeous game.

1280x700 because that's the max res of my TV with out it starting to chop.

I got the game maxed with 4X AA, 4X AF, HBAO on.

FRAPS benchmark during a firefight went had

My GPU-Z activity monitor had about 70-90% while playing.
