What all would I need?
I want to add a window, and paint the inside black.
And maybe perhaps add some wire management wholes in the motherboard plate.

I'm not too sure about the window, but for the interior you'd take all the components out and all the plastic / metal casing. Basically down to the bare metal.

I know if you want to add 120mm (I think) fans, it's about the same diameter as a cd.

Er, I'm pretty sure to paint it,
I'd strip it down to every metal components, sand them down with 800-2000 grit sand paper, apply a base coat of primer, and then a color coat. Uh, a few clear coats to add gloss, then boom. Done.
For the window, I'd just put down painters tape (or whatever, because it has low residue), then measure and cut out the window, file the cut for a smoother edge, put u channel around it, then apply double sided tape on the inside, and put the acrylic slate on the back side, then boom.
Correct anything you guys see thats wrong.
Ooh, I'm excited. :D

Yeah, I was thinking about modding my case as well. I have an Antec 900 and it's ugly on the inside because it's not all black. Plus, the PSU is the wrong way around :P

What'd look really nice is give the inside a nice brushed aluminum look. You can do it very carefully with sandpaper, a wood block, WD40, and a lot of time.

That sounds epic, but not something to try on your first attempt :P

I've done it a numerous times before but it's not something for the inside of the case. If it were the outside, that's a different story.

I would do that, but my case has a plastic front bezel. I'm pretty sure I'd destroy that if I tried to sand it down.

Btw, cutting metal is completely different than cutting wood. Plus, these are basically sheets of metal here and it's very annoying to cut. Personally, I hate using the dremel but I guess that's all you can do in this situation.

I have my dad,
he's a pro at this kind of stuff.

I've also cut tile with dremel. Boy was that a pain in the ass. :cursing:

i want a case that looks like a TF2 dispenser.

good luck with your mod

Okay, I cut out the window today, and will be lining it with U Channel tomorrow. Should be fun. Will post pics.
