So, I was playing HC Rush Rotation a few minutes ago, and teams where about 6 vs 17. Finally a few people switched/left/etc, and it got to 10 vs 15. In my opinion, this is still unfair, so I asked for a few people to switch in chat. But, after my 3rd time asking (I spaced the messages out about 5 minutes.), no one switched from the other team.

Is there any chance you could add an auto balancer to the server? Or at least until admin is ironed out?

yeah i have see lots of unfair teams last night it was me and another guy vs 15, 2v15 and many of them didnt change teams

I joined our HC Isla this morning, 4 guys were on attackers just grinding points on the M-coms vs me... I kindly asked them to switch but they continued to grind anyway. I couldn't kill all 4 of them lol.

I do not think there is an auto balance feature yet, as it was something a lot of people were talking about during the beta. I am sure they will implement it soon, but until then all we can do is politely ask players to keep things even and fair.

Yeah, the servers have no actual auto-balance at the moment.

The best we can do is just ask players, since we can't force them to switch.

lol. No way to add that feature for it doesn't exist yet because EA doesn't think anything through.

About a day ago the round started over and we ended up with a 4v20.
Nobody would switch to help us out, just sent a bunch of "lol" messages in all chat.

Teams are un-even alot of times.

Exactly.

And I see some admins not switching teams, when they should be the first ones switching to show a good example to everyone else.

I understand that would be the thing to do....but i doubt it will help when the game revolves around experience that grant you better weapons. You get bonus experience for winning a match...

I know that regular battlefield 2 has server settings to allow autoteam balance. it will only be a matter of time before it gets thru.

It's 100xp for winning. Even if it was 5,000, it's still not a good excuse to stack the teams. And as admins, we were trained/told to switch teams instead of asking someone else, or ignoring it.

I would extend the switching to all members of eGO, not just admins, while playing on eGO servers. Hopefully some decent admin tools will be released, but util then we all just have to do our parts to keep the servers fair and balanced.

I can totally see why DICE didn't include an autobalance feature.. No wait, no I can't.

This.

Also, if you bug agent86 enough or some of the other coders they might be able to look into it. I know the game's new so the code is unfamiliar, but at least if they start looking now they'll probably get something out before EA even realizes there is a problem.

Not everyone pays attention to the in game chat, i sure as heck dont most of the time as it's not in a spot i'm constantly watching.....i'm watching what is out in front of my ironsights. Just do your part to try and even things out, but as others have stated on this thread, options are very limited at this time. It's a game guys, no need to get all hyped up over small things in server

Well, if you guys are wearing the e/eG/eGO clan tag, it will put you on the same team as someone else who is wearing the exact tag. Love the priority system in BC2.

Yes this is a game. I agree we shouldn't get hyped up over it. However, a game is meant to be fun. When you are on the losing side of a 4 against 20 it isn't fun. No matter how skilled your players are the 20 will overwhelm them. If I was on the team of 4 and nobody was moving I would quit. Once a gaming session stops being fun I don't play anymore.

And clan members should set an example and switch sides regardless of if you're winning or losing. That extra xp is not worth the empty servers we'll get if teams continue to be stacked.

I swear I got autoswitched yesterday. I was on the attacking team, die, and respawn as a defender. I wasn't on a squad, so it's likely it only affects people not in squads ... or I'm just imagining things and the whole thing never occured.

The irony of it is that 50% of the people that type lol after I ask them nicely to switch are eG's or eGO's.

If i'm in a game i always try to switch teams when my team has a >2 person advantage, for instance, 13v15 is ok imo, maybe 2 people just really wanna play together or something, who knows; but if it's 12v15, that's almost an entire squad advantage, and that's a bit imba. If people ask more than once or i feel it's needed to swap in a 13v15 situation, then i'll do so though just cuz it keeps people on the eGO servers when they know that we'll go out of our way to make things fair and keep things rolling along.

also, in regards to the "lol" comments, i usually type lol and then switch; cuz it is kinda funny seeing 4v28 sometimes; lol :) so maybe they're doing something like that?
