L4D - Who's Plays? Thoughts about the game it's self?

Did I ever tell you about the time my buddy Keith and I were on top of a burning building, and we had to fight our way down like five floors of zombies and w.......wait a second. I guess that was you guys. Aww shoot man, I can't wait to tell Keith about that one!

(Love both games, they are both great in their own ways)

L4D? Well, I think the only one that really plays that anymore is jniscool. There's a pretty regular crowd of eGO players for L4D2 though, and we're always looking for someone fun to play with.

No ragers allowed though, or else you're not invited back.

I play L4D and its better then 2!

You're the first person I've heard say that, why is that your opinion? I'm curious, since I enjoy both of the games immensely.

Personally, I think the gameplay is far superior in L4D2, but the atmosphere of the first one if top notch.

This is my opinion too. I liked the old characters, and although functionality wise the new weapons are cool, I liked the old ones more (I like big guns as much as the next guy, but why must developers insist on including Desert Eagles in everything?)

I still play it from time to time.

It wasn't what I expected. I thought it would have more open-ended maps allowing for exploration and multiple ways to complete the level; however, the path forks at times and rejoins a minute or two later. Also, I thought it would be more about killing the zombies than running for you life. Although, the latter is fun, I thought I was buying a shooter, not a platformer, but that's more of a community/on-line gaming flaw. I often LAN with my friends which is much more fun because we take our time in each level and kill as many zombies as possible while running when it's necessary.

I think this is the exact opposite of the way that I played both L4D and L4D2. But then, I play primarily Versus mode, where sitting still and taking your time is the best way to lose.

I played both games. i LOVE L4D2 much better then the first. Better AI in my opinion.

I still prefer l4d 1 to 2. I put like 400 hours into verus on the first one and the second one I hardly put 100. I dont know it just lost some feeling to it. 1 felt like it needed more skill, the new infected throw it off.

I have both games and i love them, i play them daily up to this day with my team versus buddies and so on. A shame nobody ever told me eGO has L4D 2 games?!

same here, i like the darker sense of foreboding in the first and it was well just so brand new and unique from anything else at the time.

Well, I added you on steam, so if you approve it before the next game happens then I will see if there's an empty slot for you.

I like both, I find myself playing L4D2 a bit more just because of the melee weapons, and the DE is a good subsitiute for the pistol, though it would of been cool if they would of done a revolver.

If this is a response to my comment, even though they're definitely cool and they work well in the game, the general consensus in reality is that they're pretty much novelties and not useful for combat.
