Ok guys, not sure whats going on here. I have the Cooler Master Scout case (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119196&Tpk=cooler master scout) & the fan above the cpu doesnt work (hasnt since day 1). I was just checking out sites like normal on my gaming machine, when all the sudden, this clicking noise just started outta nowhere. I havent changed a single thing since I set it all up, which is like months ago. I will continue doing more investigating. Check my sig for my specs, but if you have any other questions, feel free to ask. I have the cpu overclocked, but only to 3.0ghz. Cant really think of any reason why this clicking noise would start. Well ventilated room.

I decided to keep the top post for future reference. Somehow the top fan all the sudden decided to start up NOW. Thats weird because it has stayed completely still for over 6 months. What I dont understand is why power is just now getting to the fan to make it work. Anyways, all I had to do was move the cpu cable that goes to the motherboard just a lil bit (extremely small room between the cpu hs & top fan). Might look into investing $$ for a smaller board, so that I can move the cpu hs away from the top fan.

the clicking noise you are hearing might be a wire or connector touching a fan while it is spinning. Open the side of the case and make sure no wires are over to of the fans where they could come in contact with the blade of the fans.

the fan all of a sudden working might indicate a connection that was not pushed together fully when the system was put together. Recheck all you connections. The worst case you power supply could be operating improperly

It could even be something as simple as one of your other fans needs dusted out, or has some hair wrapped around it or something. This happens to me with one of my top 140mm exhaust fans on my Tempest. One day after running fine for months, just started "clicking" a little bit. I just opened it up and made sure to clean out around it (which I do routinely anyway). It was clicking for about a week and then it just stopped.
