Antivirus 7 Scam

Antivirus 7 keeps popping up randomly now and then. Will it eventually leave me alone or will it keep targeting me? It's really annoying!

Same here. Has happened 3 times in the past 2 days. Can't find which ad it's coming from though.

Malware mayber? Malwarebytes antimalware or spybot search and destroy should work.

yep theres a solution on the microsoft forums on how to remove it for good !!!

It's not installed on my PC, one of the ad's on the forums is infected with it.

If you get fishy ads, take a screenshot (If you can get the URL) and send them to Kendle.

Okay so they took care of this on a different ad already about a month or so ago, so they need to just target this new ad. Its not harmful just close the crap and do not worry about it.

I use task manager to end iexplore process. I've seen a few that if you click ok or click the X to close, it still installs on your PC. This one is a bit harder to get a SS of. It minimizes the brower and just shows the pop up. It won't allow you to bring the browser back up until you click ok.

If you never physically bought the program and downloaded it onto your computer then there's definitely a problem. Otherwise it's just targeting whatever program you happen to be running. It might not like some files your opening or downloading. If you didn't get it then you picked up a virus that's trying to make you think it's your ANTI-virus. I'd just delete anything with the anti virus name on it.

Hello everyone,

My PC got infected by this virus too. I already have Malwarebytes on my computer but I can't launch it, probably this virus blocks it. I can't find much info about Antivirus 7 so I decided to drop few lines here. I've also tried to download SUPERAntipyware as they say here, but it won't work as well. Do you think it would be possible to run removal tool in Safe Mode? If anyone knows a way to remove this virus I'd really like to hear it. Thank you!

I did a Norton scan then did a system restore, I don't havn't had anymore pop-ups of it or anything, it's gone.

I just got this popup for antivirus 7. Thats all it was was a popup so i just closed it out. Must be from one of the ads on the website.
