Advertisement spam

Hi, JunK here from your friendly CSS division. Well i've been in eGO almost and entire year (one year in 8 days) and love this environment. Let me get to the point.
I just came across a problem when navigating the forums, i was looking in a thread in tech talk when all of a sudden i kept getting a pop up stating, are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? ok/cancel. Now about 1000 of these popped up immediately, then i started to get pop up spam with other firefox windows.
This was the only window i had open at the time, it was not caused by any other websites or tabs or anything, this was it...
Now im curious of how much spyware/malware was placed on my machine once this happened and once my computer started to load up all the different firefox popups, i'll scan in a little bit.
I just wanted to kind of ask if this has happened to anybody else, or where the problem may lie etc...because i would really hate to lose my admin by failing to visit the forums anymore if this problem continues to persist, though it is the first time it has happened so far.

I to also got that pop up visting the forums, I ended the process to get out of the loop.

These ad's are not controled by ego every now and then will get those type.

Hmmm, you might consider pming this to Dominion if it is the eGO site. If it turns out to be malware and the problem doesnt occur again, then dont pm him

ya i had to end the process as well, and my scan is clean (like it always is muahaha) so no malware or anything thats been found anyway

Mozilla Firefox + Adblock + NoScript

How many times must this be said(you can disable it for 30 seconds to click 2 ads per day and target specific ads to block forever)?

OR you could just use Google Chrome, automatically block pop up and other harmful crap, not to mention the way my security is on my laptop makes it hard to get into Havent had a virus on it yet
