TF2 Startup Issue

I just installed TF2 on my new computer and I know that the game works on this model. However, every time I start the game it "verifies the game files." After the files are verified, it does not start the game but rather sits there with the words "All files succesfully validated." Can anyone help me?

Do you mean it says Validating 100% then just stops there? If that's the case you could go to TF2's properties, local files, and click verify integrity of game cache and it should validate.

Verifying the game cache might help as stated above. You might need to delete and re-install too.

Sometimes you have to delete this .blob file in the steam folder. Just go onto google and look it up. Sorry i couldn't tell you more but I had this problem awhile ago and once i deleted it, steam updates and then it was good.
