Hey all, sure you have seen my other thread regarding the build . Question here is i have 2 dell monitors which are dvi and vga capable. I need one monitor to view my Camera system setup and the other for work. I can only get the displays to clone each other and not stretch/span . YES, i have looked through the windows display config and when i do so it only shows one monitor connected. Anybody know if this CPU is capable and if so, how to work around it ?

Also... a networking issue within my office. anytime i sign into multiview ( internet based surveillance software) from my new desktop, it completely screws the entire offices internet connection except for the main desktop that does the actual recording. I have to uninstall multiview and reset the modems/routers to get it back up . Never had this problem at our other location. Really need a super IT geek to help me with this one cuz i have a feeling it will be a bit complicated. thanks all.

Oh yeah :facewall:

your using integrated graphics with dual monitors? I'm not sure if it's possible to strech on an integrated card like that. Why not just buy a gfx card? You can get nice Ones for like $90

eh, office computer ya know. Im not really sure how big of a difference it would make to be honest as almost no media/games are used on in it. I am gonna end up poppin in something a lil different , maybe even a lower end 5000 series card.

Might work, but the space between both connections on the motherboard is a bit tight. Plus, depending on the resolutions and what you're doing; it's pushing the i3's power.

Look in the BIOS... it may not support both monitor outputs at the same time, just one or the other.

TBH, I would be surprised if it DID support dual monitors... Probably shouldn't go cheapest available graphics card with dual outputs

Hmmm.. I did come across this article on Tom's

Just sounds like i would need to use the HDMI output instead. Both the VGA and DVI ports on the mobo have plenty of space to fit both btw... Anybody have a link somewhere or good IT knowledge to help me out with this other problem i posted in my first message .

I could go and ask for help elsewhere, but i like bothering you all. Plus i like you people :-)

Update... When viewing 1 or 2 cams, the connection is fine. When using multiview to view all 8, the connection is screwed. I know im off topic, if we should change sections just say so.

can you explain what multi view is... besides an internet surveillance program. i.e. where are the camera's at home, or somewhere else? or how it works ect...
