Are We the Most Profane Division?

I've been looking at the vent rooms and it seems like 70% of us DoD players are in rated-R rooms. Do you think we just like to cuss the most or if DoD isn't attractive to younger members such as TF2 might?

Only exception would be like BC2 or RPG games.
 
On INS, we ONLY use R-rated rooms.

Cuz were cool :cool:
 
It's a habit. Whenever I join vent, I always go straight into an R-Rated room :P
 
According to Jeod66, all DOD:S vent rooms are Rated R.

But on top of that, I think our average age is probably higher than most every other division.

Except for those that are made up of former DOD:S division members.

Although, we still have London and he probably ups our average quite a bit.

DOD:s room are Rated R, cause we have 1 person, and that person would be Fluffy lol.

and with that, and any1 that actually knows her knows why we have so many Rated R rooms lol.

Oh yes, that's right.

Then to answer the OP, we are by far, and I mean infinitely more so, the most profane division. On the strength of one member alone lol

Thank you very much for pointing out this valuable and highly relevant information to the entire DoD Division. I'll keep it in mind the next time I scroll through the Ventrilo channels, considering that the server rules very clearly state this:

* Minors are expected to avoid these rooms.

Here's where the story D.T.S. referenced comes from:

When the R rooms were instituted, the very first thing I recall hearing is Slayr357's voice saying "Whaaaaat? No way...I'm going to find out about this. *5 minutes later* All DoD rooms are rated R."

It's become a running joke at this point since we obviously have the general DoD room and Room 1 as non-R; all rooms are R "in theory". What does this really mean, profane jokes aside?

We expect maturity from our members.

We (or at least I) don't like having to enforce the "no minors" rule, but we have to. I typically join an R room just because there are people in there, but everyone knows that we have an open door policy and can be contacted at any time with problems regardless.

Also, as for us being the "most profane" and "oldest", may I please direct you to my signature :)
 
Oh.. We just needed Jeod's sig to sum this entire thing up. This is why he has the goldy-stuff around his eGO on the forums =P

not to be rude towards the other divisions but i completely agree with that statement half the stuff that DOD admins kick/warn for goes on without a complaint in other games servers

also i think DOD is more of an adult oriented game as in you dont SPAWN SHOOT DIE - repeat for 30 minutes
 
Well...The TF2 guys also spend most of their time in the Rated R rooms as well. Nothing really special to it I guess, its just that when you happen to slip a swear word, it'd be nice to know youre in a Rated R room

Being that we are a Mature Gaming Community all members should strive for excellence in behavior and attitude while in game & in the ventrilo rooms (since pubbers are there as well) Now i'll be the first to admit to going off the handle a time or 2 or 20 in a vent channel (and that doesn't require anyone on here to confirm that statement) I personally like the Rated R channels because, to be honest, since we have the "no minors" rule technically, not having to worry too much about offensive material pouring over the internet and corrupting a minors psyche is a soothing notion to keep in the back of my head.

I know someone is eventually going to bring this up, but in NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM are we trying to exclude our youngest members from participating in discussions on ventrilo.


Now, as far as being the most profane division within this community we call EdgeGamers, we prefer to live ON THE EDGE! :cool:
 
I personally dont think rated R rooms are needed but we have them. We made ventrilo so that our admins would have a place to be ourslelves. Kind of like a teachers lounge. I am not concerned with the language in vent as long as every other word coming out of your mouth isnt the F bomb...cough (noxx) cough.
 
Vent speaks for itself. When you get killed nonstop ingame, you need something to vent into. Usually it's R-rated vent material.
