"Ok, so I am running on a Dual Core Laptop and I am enjoying it and all but I really miss having my desktop set-up and all so I was wondering if I could maybe connect a monitor to my laptop and sit my laptop where my pull out keyboard is. My laptop is a Vostro | 1720 dell and I think the model is well I dont know what the model is and next the power thing is the pull with the blue bit and its go to screws on each side so I just want to get your advice on this before I do anything. Thanks guys/girls. "

So I got my answer from Blue Stealth for this and I'm getting the monitor I was just wondering will this lower my gaming FPS when I go to play?

If you use the built in screen switcher on the laptop to change from the laptop to the mointer the fps will drop slightly, but not as much as if you where running it on both screens.

The bigger the screen is the higher the resulation it takes to make it look good, at high res, it uses more graphics power.

Its like having a car engine pull a truck if you go for both!

Changing it to one screen would be a lot more efficent and fps shouldnt drop to much 5-10 at max.
