well i just got a new hp pavilion a6734f pc with intel core 2 quad processor, windows vista (64 bit), 4gb of memory, 500gb hard drive, blury+dvd player, dvd burner, 512mb of video memory, norton 2009.

if anyone has or has had this pc can you give me some reviews on it?

i don't have that kind of time :P i got it cheap from where i work 450bucks for the tower keyboard wireless mouse and the 4 year warantee

actually i don't have vista anymore i decided to get windows 7 too
it has 512mb of video memory so that's sufficient for now i might get a better video card after i get bad company 2 so the graphics look ever bader (as in bad @**er) :P

Looks similar to my pc, except i bought a dell. I would've built my own pc though if i had known so much as i do now.

It's an ok computer for CSS / DOD playing but once you get into more graphic games like eve, BF2 etc your FPs is going to drop dramatically, video card ewww :)

Trying running Crysis on it ;)

My old pc with 256MB RAM, 800mhz AMD Athlon, and a 32MB nvidia graphics card, could run CSS with like 1.6 graphics, and it took a while to get onto a server. But it did work.

For your future reference, video memory is not the only thing you look at when talking about video cards. The video card in that machine is not very powerful and your PSU doesn't give much room to upgrade it.

Yeah, if he is going to upgrade a lot of things are going to have to be messed with. Thats the pain of buying OEM.

You need a new video card but you have to get a new psu also, maybe the psu dosent fit in that case so you get a new case.. it just goes on and on until you eventually just phase out all the oem parts. So it wasn't a good idea in the first place.

I'd say take the parts out of the oem case, and put them in a better case then when you need to upgrade parts you'll have space to do it. As most other have said upgrade the video card and psu pronto. then you'll have a pretty good computer there. A 4 year warranty is pretty good so i'd say it was an ok deal.
