I have this really weird problem. I go over to my friends house and want to play TF2. He has his own server and I try to connect to it but can't. I can ping it and receive the info about the server. When I try to join it says connection failed after 4 retries. his server isn't LAN since its hosted somewhere else. While everyone is joining and having fun, I cant even join. Makes no sense that I can ping it yet cant connect.
I've tried the following:
Verifying game cache
Having my friend leave the server then connecting
connecting via ip console
