Well no, I used to research into the 2012 theory before the movie even came out. I've learned almost all the sides of it.... possibility of "Planet X" or "Niberu" talked about in ancient times not only by the Aztecs, Mayans, and Incans, but also by the Greeks. Being believed that Niberu would collide with Earth. [Citation Needed]
However what is a fact, which I have done research my self with skymaps, and Google Earth is that all of the planets will align and it COULD effect Earth in a small way. The worst it could do is reverse earths polarity and were basically in alot of trouble, will it destroy earth? no, would it certainly kill alot of people? yes. [Citation Needed]
However, would meteors rain from the sky? no. Would hole countries fall into a giant hole? no. Would everyone die? absolutely not.
If the polarity were switched though like I said eirlier, alot would die. So lets define alot... IF the Earths polarity were to reverse or even move then if the polarity was set on a country that country would freeze over since the North and South pole would be redifined. If the poles were not to just reverse and they would move then there would be earth quakes for hours possibly days, and im not talking about on and off earth quakes, but a non stop earth quake as it redesigned earth. After all was said and done... Earth would look completely different, some mountain ranges wouldn't exist. There would be new mountains, volcanoes, cliffs, valleys, and even oceans.[Citation Needed]
