My BC2 takes up 1.7gb instead of 10gb.

Hey guys

I'm not sure if I should put this in this category or in the BC2 forum, anyway. I checked to see how much space BC2 required and that is 10gb. Now I check in my Control Panel->Software, then scrolled down to BF :BC2 and it says that it only takes up 1.7gb. Do you guys know about this problem?

I'm not sure if this effects my gameplay or anything.

1. Bad Company takes up 5.5GB or so
2. If you installed from Steam, Control Panel will never show the correct amount.

For me it was like 6.4 GB. I wanted to back it up on my USB but when i saw the size i thought; nevermind lol

I didn't install it through steam, as you can see that I managed to look at the sixe through Control Panel

Unless you notice specific game play difference from others, it shouldn't matter.

I never follow Windows CPanel's estimated usage anyways, it's normally wrong.

Right now it's telling me nmap is 40 gigs big, haha.

Sometimes the estimator only counts a single folder.

ie; It may only estimate the folder which the actual BC2.exe might be in instead of the whole installation directory.

So you get off responses.

Best way is to do what USMC SatComm TeK Stubster did and gather the info yourself.

Weird I cheeked my Steam folder and it told me.

6.14 GB (6,594,962,365 bytes)... Wonder what the extra .16 GB is?
