Trying to upgrade

So right now im running vista 32 bit and im trying to upgrade it to 7 pro 64 bit
When we tried to boot of a cd it wont finde anything on it and when we tryed a 16 gig flash drive bios got realy slow and pritty much crashed and then eventuly still didnt finde it , i got no ideas whats the problem btw vista findes both the flash drive and cd fine so it cant be hardware .

The copy of wint 7 is legit i get it from my school what has a deal with ms
 
You can't boot from it? Make sure the boot order has CD/DVD before HDD
 
I'm not trying to be mean and I really would like to help you.

But what are you trying to say here?

"When we try to boot the CD, it won't find it." - Make sure your DVD if you burned it has BOOT-option enabled.

"When we tried a 16 gig flash drive, BIOS got really slow and pretty much crashed and then eventually still didn't find it." - ? Your BIOS crashed from looking for a CD?..

"Vista finds both flash and CD, so it can't be hardware." - Listen to Nufan.

Please be a little more specific.

After that we tried the cd it says boot from a cd/dvd drive but after that says theres nothing on it to boot off of
About the option enabled , where is that? :D

As for the boot order the hdd is last and cd/dvd drive first

Make sure the CD is bootable. Did Windows 7 already come on a disc, or did you have to download the ISO file?

If all you have is the ISO file, use a free program such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO file onto a disc, don't just simply drag and drop the ISO file onto the disc.
 
Also, I don't think Vista or Windows 7 comes on CD's. I think CD's are too small. ;P
