UFC on Versus 1/Dream 13

Mir is so obsessed with Brock it's just creepy. He looked great in his last fight against Kongo, but I don't he'll magically have all this knockout power to stop Lesnar. Might I add that Lesnar took a knee to the face from Mir and that didn't even really phase him, so Mir might as well start lining his gloves will ball bearings or putting his BJJ black belt back on, that's the only way I see him winning. Otherwise Brock will just lay on him and turn his face into ground beef again. :P

Frankly, I strongly dislike Mir because of all the stupid trash talk that comes out of his mouth, so hopefully Carwin will be a legitimate contender for Brock.
 
ya im not a big mir fan either, he doesn't give lesner the respect i think lesner deserves. he deserved a shot in UFC, and tho his title shot came pretty quick, he obviously can hang with it since hes still champion. he obviously is a very athletic man

and about gsp vs silva...i think thats the only competition gsp will have for another year, but that fight will never happen...silva is way too big for gsp, WAY too big.

Not really, he is just up a weight class, GSP is a huge welterweight, and im sure GSP walks around at middleweight weight before he has to cut to the limit for welterweight, im sure he could go up to middleweight to fight silva, or it could just be a cathweight bout.

Anderson silva isnt THAT big. he is just really damn good lol.
 
And i think it is funny mir hates brock with such passion, i just want to see them fight again, he needs to not try and box with him though. Mir has excellent BJJ and should work brock with that.
 
silva has been fighting at light heavyweight...its obvious they are not the same size, and i think GSP would be stupid to go into a fight like that with a big disadvantage already. bj penn can fight at welter but he keeps getting destroyed because in a sport like this where the competition is so fierce etc, weight is a huge factor
 
Silva has only fought once in light HW in ufc and that was against forrest, in that fight forrest looked bigger than him, but still got embarrassed lol.

GSP and silva would be a great fight, they arnt too far apart in size, weight cuts change people alot, they normally walk around alot heavier than they do when they weigh in,
 
hes fought light heavyweight twice officially i think, or has it been 3...
and just the same as GSP cuts to 170, silva cuts to 185...so either way you look at it silva has at least 15 pounds over GSP, not to mention 4 inches and 1.6" reach advantage.
again you're asking one of the fighters to take the disadvantage by either bulking up, or cutting even more weight.....this fight won't happen
 
idk i still think it will happen, ive heard alot of talk over other MMA forums and dana white his kinda hinted at it, we will see.
 
...and Lesnar is such a nice classy guy himself, very gracious, humble, great with the fans and the media, oh wait you guys meant Brock Lesnar, are you serious? the guys a f*$%#@$ a$#@#$, he might win when he gets back in the ring and deserves it if he does but the guys the biggest trash talker out there and he is the one that doesnt give the rest of mma the respect it deserves.
 
I think the huge elephant in the room regarding Mir vs Lesnar 3 (if it happens that is) is Lesnars health. I know, I know. Everyone says that he is now getting healthy again and will be 100% when that fight rolls down. However, until I see Lesnar in the octagon I won't be so sure. And to be honest, I don't think Mir will beat Carwin. I think Carwin is going to GnP him into hamburger meat. And that GSP/Silva fight is fun to speculate, but it will never happen. Silva won't fight him because they are friends. Pretty common knowledge there. Very glad I started this thread!

You sure your not thinking about machida and silva being friends? because thats why they will never fight,

i dont think gsp and silva are buddy buddy lol.

yeah i was pretty sure silva said he would never fight machida because they are friends often in each others camp and ringside but agree with grimm that while silva and gsp might respect each other they are not buddy buddy but the fight between those two would of course have to be a catch weight fight and have a significant monetary incentive behind it but the fans would love to see it, i know i would.

as far as mir v carwin goes i think carwin will win but again stranger things have happened and just want lesnar to come back 100% so someone can beat the snot outta him and shut his piehole which even in defeat he would never concede someone being better than him

Guys I misspoke and you are 100% right. It is Machida I was thinking of. You have to excuse me. I am busy keeping up with like 5 mma organizations between UFC/WEC/Strikeforce/DREAM/Sengoku WVR! Thanks for keeping me straight!
 
I dunno. I am pretty excited between Lesnar/Carwin/Mir/Velasquez/Dos Santos. The Heavyweight division is alot of fun right now. And the best thing about it is who knows who the best is? GSP/Silva/Bj all have those divisions on lock down. And Machida looked insanely unbeatable (Till Shogun fight).

Just in my opinion, if shogun beats machida at 113, it would be a damn good fight if anderson fought shogun, good matchup there

i doubt any 1 will beat bj penn

gsp=idk yet, i gota see how he does vs hardy

I am excited for Cro Cop coming back though, he destroyed whoever he fought in his last fight. I'm happy he is getting back into it after that sad lost to dos santos.
 
ya i think carwin has a great shot vs mir, but mir is kind of a monster...and yes lesnar talks probably the most trash of everybody, but its all in the game...i don't think hes that much of a jerk in real life, he just knows how to put on a show especially from being in the wrestling game
but thats one reason why i really like GSP, i haven't heard him trash talk anybody...he knows exactly what he is capable of, doesn't underestimate his opponent and dominates fights nuff said

maybe kinda of an unknown fighter for lightweight but, george sotiropoulos is doing really good. His BJJ is amazing, he made joe stevenson (a good submission guy) look stupid. He might be next in line for BJ


and shogun would be amazing against silva because silva has not really gone against another guy like him. Forrest got dominated and so have the other people before him. Shogun could do some real damage.
 
yep, dos santos showed his is legit against gonzaga as well as cain velazquez made short work of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 110and the heavywt division just got more interesting with those fights but amidst all this discussion one name has been absent, where the heck is Fedor?
