New PC on it's way! Any suggestion here?

Hey guys! I'm gonna build up a Pc for the first time with help from a friend.
I'm having a pretty huge budget (~3200$ Canadian money) and here are the parts i'm looking at.
I'd like to have your advice guys! Just to wonder if I'm picking up the best I could take for my bucks.

Don't forget, price are in Canadian money here, so yes It could cost more than on newegg.com but as a Canadian, It won't be at my advantage to buy my parts in U.S.

Lol, $3200 Canadian is about $3150 American so theres not a big difference, still a huge budget.

Um, everything looks really high, I mean really really high, wow, lol. If you want to save a little bit of Money, you can downgrade from Win 7 Pro to Win 7 Home premium, You will lose some benefits but none that matter if your an avid gamer. And you could get an OEM version for even cheaper.

Don't be Bonefrag. 3 year ago, I was buying a laptop because I had no choice. My sidejob (Professional Photograph) asked me to be a lot on the road. To be able to get my product done faster, a laptop was my only issue. The problem if that I can barely play my game with it.
By example, All the setting for TF2 is set to low. And now I'd like to play game like bad company 2 and dirt 2 and I cannot.

So the day I buyed my laptop, I just started up to put some money for something new and this day has come!

ColonelMcMeow, yeah maybe Canadian $ is pratically even to U.S $ for now but you forget that if I order my parts from U.S, shipping will be much more higher so I won't save at the end.
 
looks rock solid to me. Maybe switch the PSU to a Corsair 850.
 
I didn't take the time to add up the prices, so I am going off of the fact that you still have a little bit of money left in your budget.

The only two things I would think about changing would be the hard drive and the power supply.

For the hard drive I would recommend going bigger, 500gb is not as big as it use to be, if you have extra money, I would recommend going with 1.5Tb+

I personally have two 1Tb WD caviar black's(WD1002FAEX) in RAID0 and I am very happy with them, and have yet to have any problems.

If you plan on OC'ing then I would choose a higher end power supply, many times people could get a higher OC if they only would have spent more on a PSU that gives really clean power.

My recommendation would be an Enermax Revolution E85+ 950W If you take some time to read some reviews on it you will see that it is a bullet-proof power supply, efficient, and most importantly it supplies very clean and well rectified power.

I have the 1050W version and I can attest for it, its modular cable system is VERY nice as well, it makes wire management a breeze...

Besides those two things I think you have put together a very nice build, personally, if I had that kind of budget, I would go with water cooling, but some people don't like the idea of water and computers. However, if you are interested just say so, and Im sure we could come up with a nice loop to fit your budget ;)
 
I would think get a more powerful PSU. Go Corsair or Thermaltake Truepower. Also, get a Modular PSU, makes cable management much easier.

Look into a bigger HDD. Yes, 500GB is a little small in you're going to have TONS of pictures and movies. For the SDD, look into one that has the TRIM feature. It will help your SSD last longer and maintain its speed.

Make sure your RAM sticks don't overheat.

Also, I like the Corsair Obsidian 800D case over the Antec 1200. Take a look at that baby. Newegg.ca just got these in stock.

Other than that, drool*...

X-25m has trim i believe.

If your getting the 1200, i would get this power supply:

It is Physically bigger than regular ATX PSUs, so it only fits in the Antec 1200, and select other cases. BUT! it has vastly superior cooling to other PSUs in the price range, and because Antec needed less heat sink material it is cheaper too.

Just like the other PSU you proposed, it has a Massive +12v rail, which is good.

They also have a 1000w version, but 850 should be fine for your build

just something for you to consider

EDIT: if you stick with only 6gb of memory, which IMO, is plenty anyways, you could afford a good water cooling setup. That would cool far better than the d14 ever would.
 
Intel 80GB G2 SSD no questions asked. put a pair of em in raid if you like for some serious speed. One is crazy enuff as it is, the single best upgrade i can say i have ever made to anything. I love the thing, you will not regret it.

For storage, yea you might like to grab a pair 1tb's or similar.
 
I finally ordered my stuff from Newegg.
I just switched from Noctua to Corsair H50. Reason is I need space for ram's and I'll use push-pull method with H50 so I could except to have pratically the same lower temps has Noctua. I'm not planning in overclocking.
I added 2 Noctua NF-S12B 120mm for push-pull.
 
WOOT! H50 is pretty awesome. Can't wait to see pics of this build once you get it set up. *hint hint*
 
The h50 is a good choice. Pair a shroud or two to go with that and your i7 should be running nice and cool in the mid to low 30's Celsius.
Im really interested to see how this build turns out, the computer you ordered should be absolutely beastly. Anyways hope to see pick up soon, good luck with the build. :cool:
