Why did you join ego? I personally joined after playing on the ego Kalt server for some weeks, I was amazed by the cleanliness of the language, respect and no abuse from any players. The friendly atmosphere was a delight to play in. I must say that there was more posting then but people run out of things to say.
A bit about myself so you may drew your own conclusions, I worked mainly in engineering as a maintenance fitter, I swore and cursed like the rest of the guys,and I still do but it nice to play and relax in Kalt, or Donner, Avalanche, and when I am feeling good I play Flash that tends to bring me back to reality pretty quick. Cya ingame guy's.;):)
 
I was playing as "Beep Beep, Im a Jeep!!!" for 2 years on our avalanche server before I joined... I stuck around mostly for the punk free atmosphere, no reserve slots, and non-abusive admins but a lot of it was that I liked my 8 ping :D

Anyways Flash is my home and always will be. Edge Gamers had a good crowed for its 24/7 Flash server so I found my self there more and more. So I decided to join so many moons ago and here I'm.
 
One just falls in love with the punk free atmosphere you never want to leave it, but become more involved in keeping it punk free.
 
About two yrs ago I was an incoming freshman at USC (Southern California) and my roommate told me about DoD 1.6. I stopped playing CS:S and bought DoD:S. needless to say I spent a good amount of time on Avalanche, raining liquid hell with the Wermacht sniper. I noticed alot of EGO players who talked like they were old friends and I realized i needed a community to be a part of. I joined up with EGO soon after.

Not a month later, I tried Strand for the first time and my roommate said it's an Allies suicide map, basically for those who don't want to ever win and just feel like poo getting killed endlessly. I took that as a challenge. few rounds later I capped the winning plant, and to this day, Strand is my only server. me and my scoped death instrument. and even now, every EGO member talks to me and I talk to them like we're buddies by default.

I also love the responsibility of the admins, they are great about keeping the game punkfree.

Well i joined after i really enjoyed the punk free servers! I joined like the second day i had DoD:S and i was glad when i got accepted
 
I was a regular player on the [CON](Church of Norris) server for over a year. They were great guys and very clean, but I never wanted to apply for membership. One day I played on an eGO server and just kept going back. The admins were great and I liked the clean rules. I was happy to join and it has been fun ever since.
 
I pretty much played solo from server to server. Didn't like many of them so i just hopped from server to server till i got onto eGO Flash. Loved the punk free and decided to join.
 
had played DOD for a long time...my dad (full metal diaper) and i were in [AOF] (angry old farts) clan on 1.3...by the time DOD:s came out i wasnt really able to play that often...dad told me about the clan that he joined eGO and when i went to visit one time i played on kalt and flash a lot...fell in love with the game...went back home...bought DOD:S and applied to eGO the next day...comin up on a year in the next couple of months...started playin kalt runnin the sewers with my thompson and fists a blazin...havent looked back since...absolutely love the fact that we are punk free and that as long as we as admins do our jobs like we are supposed to the leadership backs us up...no favoritism here...and of course the brotherhood that comes from switching off dominations with people for days on end...
 
I joined to play with my best bud Bones. The irony is that were never on at the same time and when we are we end up on different sides.
 
I never even wanted to join eGO. The only reason I did was to get the guy who recruited me (guess who) to stop asking me lol. I wasnt even sure if I could at the time, and I was too nice to just delete him off my friends list. I had planned to drop the "e" tag after a day or so but I definately would never do that now. I like it here a LOT more than I thought I would haha. I pretty much love everything eGO has to offer. Events, 24/7 servers, the people, and the whole community in general. Thanks eGO.

I used to play on the old Avalanche RP server back when I was going to School overseas. Ping was bad but it was one of the few servers that didnt kick for it. Never had any issues there.

Took a break from dods and played CSS for about 2 years (mostly on Australian servers lul) and when I came back to dods found the RP servers gone and eGO servers in their place. Stuck around and eventually (after severals months) Welsh Toast and Nible finally convinced me to join up. Never looked back since...

So in a nutshell the reasons which led to me joining eGO are
-no ping kickers
-great admin
-fun servers

and ones I later found out
-friendly community
-stable community

-Blue

pretty much the same for me, i didnt like the UK servers, they were no fun
the people you play with overules the ping for me :)
 
I played on the suicide Kings server for awhile and it just got ridiculous with the language and things. I went to another server (EGO) and started playing there. After a few days I was hooked on EGO and then finally joined and have been here since.
