Hey guys, tommorow is the day we will finally have the real specs and probably some benchmark with GTX 470 and 480!
For some reason I wanted to buy a 5970 but I decided to wait before just to see what Nvidia can offer and if it can lower the price of ATI cards.

5970 will smoke the GTX 480. From what i hear the GTX 470 is 5-10% slower than the 5870, and the GTX 480 is 5-10% faster than a 5870. That is, with 100% scaling, which history tells us, is not always right.

Btw, i looked at the title and instantly thought "Let's Not!". My inner troll was showing through....

I'm not to excited, it looks like it'll be hot, hot, hot. The pictures out already of the 480's heatsink confirms that for me, with those huge heat pipes and some of the recent cases (CM 690II) are coming with VGA Vents for the side of the case.

Fermi, meet Asus Ares (5870x2)

Whoa. Those look -pardon my French- badass. I'd still like to see Fermi, though.
