A possible cure for cancer

gotta admit, that was an interesting read. i forwarded that link to some of my friends & family. im sure they will be interested in reading that as well.

I have cancer atm, and i wish to god they were doing this now, i would go for it in a second, and id still have my intestines.

Can't they just clone Chuck Norris and shrink his clones to fight cancer and std's?

one word, vitamins

cancer is a vitamin deficiency, like a lot of diseases...but they can't regulate and make profits off vitamins, so they sell you medicines instead - this has been known for a long time

So, do you have any supporting documentation for that, or is this internet lore? All the documentation I've read suggests that such miracle cures aren't accurate. (btw, the profits that companies make off of vitamins are staggering. That's why so many companies do it.)

theres lots of supporting documentation for it - and its more of a preventative thing instead of a "cure" but vitamin and diet treatments are more successful and obviously a lot less taxing than radiation etc for cancer.
our whole health system today is get sick, go to the doctor and do what he says (which is to buy some type of pill or medicine for it, and take it for the rest of your life basically). there is something like 40 something vitamins, 20 something minerals and 3 oils our bodies need daily, and if it doesn't get it something will eventually break down.
not to say that our medicines and such are completely useless or anything like that...tho i believe some totally are...but the problem with doctors and hospitals is that you need to already be sick before they can do anything for you. where is the preventative care??

Um....Cancer is the uncontrolled reproduction of cells.

I pray to god this comes out soon, my father has recently developed per-cancerous blisters on his head. :(

O.o Cancer cells are formed from Gene and DNA Mutations... They then screw every other DNA strand up, and cancerous tumors and such are formed o.o....They aren't caused by a vitamin deficiency....I have a qwestushun, if Cancer is a vitamin Deficiency, what are they zooming in on!? Its a cancerous CELL..... There is totally a difference in these two.... How come Cancer is Genetic? And sure, Lets roll with Junks idea, But you can detect Vitamin Deficiency's in Urine and blood, EASILY. So why would this not have been PROVEN before and stopped? Sure, you need 40 and 20 and 3 and blah blah blah, but protein can mutate into a bunch of those, and Sugar and other things you eat on an average basis will break down and give you enough of the nutrients on a daily basis usually. So why do healthy people develop also? And why does Radiation cause cancer? Theres literally, Nothing, to back up the claim of Vitamin Deficiency....But anywho, I dislike arguing, lets get back onto topic :D, I explained this EXACT process would work to my girlfriend over the phone about... Uhmm.. Last month, so she now owes me a cookie as she said "Your crazy, this will NEVER happen, EVER." :)

Vitamins will not cure cancer. However, they will make your body stronger to help fight off cancer cells. Cancer is not a vitamin deficiency. It is recommended to anybody who is sick to take care to have extra vitamins (even if it's just eating properly) - not just cancer patients.

That being said - I hope that this will be hope for the future. My mother had breast cancer and I'm high risk for it, which would probably mean my daughter if I ever have one would be high risk for it too. Hopefully by then!

i've looked at a lot of the evidence and i conclude it is - the only reason why im posting again is because i think its funny you say so conclusively it is not a vitamin deficiency, and that vitamins will not cure your cancer when you probably didn't even research the topic in the least.
that is going to deter others from researching it themselves...and i just want to say that you shouldn't take anybodies opinion on the matter. instead go research it yourself and make your own conclusion

<--- Studying nutrition for my major.

I'm not saying that vitamins aren't key in curing cancer, they're just not the cause of cancer nor are they the sole way to cure cancer. Again - there might be a few cancers that are caused by it - but definitely not every single one. If that were the case, vitamins would be already known as the cure. No matter how corrupt the system is, vitamins definitely make enough of a profit to be endorsed. It is actually pretty inexpensive for vitamin supplements to be made, and they're sold pretty high.

Please feel free to quote some resources that you've found on this. I realize I don't know everything, but because my mother has had cancer and I'm studying nutrition, I have looked into it some myself and asked a few of my professors. While I know there are some nutrients that well help offset some of her side effects, and potentially lower her risk for cancer or the re occurrence of it, I have seen no evidence suggesting there was something that could have cured her of it.

well i already said they are not necessarily a "cure" for cancer, but more of a preventative means...however there have been quite a few studies that show diet treatments to be more successful and a lot less risky than the typical.
but thats also one of the problems i have regarding this type of stuff....just because you are studying nutrition in university or wherever, doesn't really mean too much (im trying not to be too offensive). but you are learning what they are teaching you, that is all. and the same goes for when you ask professors, they just learned what the university/curriculum whatever taught them. theres more information than just that. even then it differs between schools and between dietary ideas...thats why theres so many out there, and everybody thinks they are right.
i believe our diet (or lack there of) is a major cause of cancer, but not necessarily every time/kind/etc...its hard to say because we haven't been able to research it completely due to the myth that its all caused by global warming or aerosol cans or burnt toast...there are many effects and things in this world harmful to us, but we are unable to fight them off properly without the proper diet and immune system we should and could have.
i also think we are completely limited to what we can do today, diet wise, since our food supply has been cut to the bone in order to make more profits etc. what we eat is contaminated and altered in ways to maximize shelf life and make it more convenient (instant mashed potatoes) blah blah.

and there is lots of evidence (solid fact actually) that shows mere vitamins outright CURING other diseases with just large doses of vitamins. But not just vitamins, oxygen has amazing curing properties as well. it all ties together with other things i'd love to be able to talk about on this forum, and its quite amazing
