A possible cure for cancer

We watched a movie on this in Biology on Thursday.

I was the only one in class to say that "Hm, couldn't we use RNAi to turn off the gene in the cancer cell that creates the proteins?"

And 3 days later I see this.

But I just get the feeling that it will be Prey all over again...

well i already said they are not necessarily a "cure" for cancer, but more of a preventative means...however there have been quite a few studies that show diet treatments to be more successful and a lot less risky than the typical.

^^ Maybe you misunderstood me but that's essentially what I've said :) I think you came off in your first post saying that vitamins were the cure. I totally am all for vitamins being preventative measures, and vitamins are definitely needed to help cure - but they aren't "the" cure, nor is cancer a vitamin deficiency. A lot of people who are unhealthy happen to have vitamin deficiencies, so they go in hand a lot of the time. For example, someone who smokes and drinks probably isn't getting their vitamin C and are at a high risk for various cancer and diseases - but it's because they smoke and drink, not because they're vitamin C deficient. However, because Vitamin C helps the immune system - if they were getting enough of it while they were smoking and drinking, it would more than likely help them out :)
