26th march 2010.

steam update news tells us that Robert Culp, the actor who voiced one of gamings greatest villains, Wallace Breen, has unfortunately passed away. he passed away 24/03/10 aged 79
god rest his soul.

They could always at the start of the game blow up breen right?
He already died in hl2, or atleast that's what we thought. We just saw images and recordings of him later.

That sucks though. I've played thru half life so many times, he was a great character. Really cool voice acting.

Atleast he wasn't going to be in ep3, since Breen is out of the story, so they won't have to take even longer to get ep3 made.

What? I'm pretty sure Valve wouldn't cut production of one of the most successful PC shooters because a voice actor died. There's always a backup. Always

Perhaps if they feel the need to bring him back, his voicebox will have been damaged in the citadel incident and his voice will have changed. I think Valve would be capable of contriving it that far if they needed to.

youve probably discovered the easter egg before its even in alpha testing.
it would be a good commemoration. i also think either portal 2 or ep3 will be dedicated to him. it would be a fitting memory.
