I want to start a comic about tf2, maybe i should have posted in the art but since i figured my main fan base is going to be tf2 players, and i was hoping to show personal friends, and you guys on ego for criticism before trying to take it public.
Basically its going to be kind of a mash up between a retail business, and tf2 parodies. Basically its going to be tf2 characters that work is a store similar to Walmart but not as large and going to be called like "Blu mart" with blu team being the main characters but red team will make appearances as a rival store called "The Bomb" modeled after the retail store Target.

And the back story i haven't completely worked out yet but basically the reason they were fighting is no longer there and the announcer woman started two rival stores so there would still be rivalry between the two teams


as of now casting:

General Manager: The announcer (also the manager for The bomb)
Assistant Manager: Spy
Customer Service : Pyro
Pharmacist : Medic
Maintenance : Demo man
Furniture Department: The Heavy
Bonk Delivery Man : Scout
Stock: Engineer (i know your gonna say HE should be maintenance but i have a plan for that)
Cashiers: Sniper
Security: Solider

Any suggestions at this point are appreciated i was gonna start working on tonight maybe but first copies i should will most likely be pencil on paper till i get photo shop

Why does the black Scottish guy have to be maintenance, it's a cross between half-baked and the Simpsons...
 
lol i just started drawing their extremely rough drafts i might post em lol but keep in mind my art skills are rusty and they were drawn very quickly and scribble kinda and some mis proportions >.<

cus when things make him angry he blows team up...plus the maintenance people are the ones that are always drunk XD.
 
Well actually finished drawing like a very rough portrait style of all the characters, i already know alot of changed going to be done but meh it give a small feel to how they will be but i need to work more on them they look like crappy sketches but meh if anyone wants to see i will post it =/ but once i photo shop them the whole style will change

very badly because no one can understand him...kind of using him from personal experience i work in retail and where i work customer server people also page people and this one woman where i work no one ever knows what she says over the intercom you can under stand maybe one or 2 words of what she say its like "MSUHJDHLKJSHDLJKHUIHGOISH line 1"
 
Sounds interesting... but maybe make the RED store a more obvious name?

like since it is making a play on "Target", maybe call it "Crosshair"?
or "Bullseye" or something...

doesn't have to use "Red" in the name :P

anyways this sounds awesome as a comic, do good work! as many have stated before, I'll definitely follow this!

P.S. it WILL make you famous :biggrin:
 
lol well i went with "bomb" because its the red team symbol and since target's icon is also there name where as walmart is a name with separate symbol

I did finish some quick sketches but I'm to embarrassed to release them they look stupid, so i will probably do like a portrait of each character individually and make each one good. probably going to start with characters i'v altered the most like the scout, solider, and sniper i didn't change his uniform much but def changed how he does things, solider now wears an officer/security uniform with his hat low so you can't see his eyes like he wears his helmet but i also might play with the idea of having him wear aviators glasses
 
I'm like afraid to start posting drawings >.< im so self conscious of my art XD im much prouder of my graphic art which i cannot even do at the moment
 
Well, if you don't want to post it for all to see, try just PMing it to a few people. Ask them what they think have them give criticism. We promise not to laugh or make fun of you, because we all know many of our art skills are about as advanced as... stick figures :)
 
lol ya just blah i feel weird cus im an art major but i am soooo rusty and have major issues getting stuff from my head to paper blah idk prolly gonna work on it when i have some free time
