need a new computer

hey guys can anyone help me find a good laptop. the laptop i have i can not stand anymore i have games on it that they work one day and not the next so i want to get a new laptop. i dont want to spend that much on a new one but it has to be great for gaming and still have lots of space for other programs i have on my computer. i dont know what to get so i thought i would come to you guys for your input. i want a laptop because when i travel i like to have all my games with me. but any help is great. :)

When most people they say they don't want to spend too much on a laptop, it's usually like $600-$800, not $3000!

well i dont know what else to say but i like to have the best. i like to have something that is going to make gaming outstanding. and i can NOT stand a slow computer.

may i have yours please? my current laptop is a hand-me-down from my dad. old gateway with amd turion 64 (single core cpu) w/ 1gb memory (upgraded from 512mb) & like 60gb hard drive.

the laptop i have now cant even be used as a laptop i think the max time it will run without being plug in is like 15 mins. if that. this laptop has a 20.1 inch screen on it. i dont even think they make this laptop anymore.

i got an older version of Alienware Aurora, but i'd highly recommend getting one of the new auroras or one of there good laptops
 
Spend that much money, wow geez build a desktop it will last longer upgrades are easy most of the time

i built a desktop for less then that but then i got this laptop and it has a bigger screen then my desktop so i gave my desktop to my mom because her computer was old and slow. but now im looking for a cheaper laptop because i just decided to go to college after siting around doing nothing for a year. so now im trying to find a cheaper laptop that will do great for college work, business programs and web design programs. and on this laptop i dont really want to spend more then $700
