March Mayhem, for those of you who don't know, is The Escapist magazine's annual contest, which pits game developers in a voting bracket, similar to and inspired by the real life March Madness basketball tourney.

Why am I posting this?

Because I really REALLY don't want to see Zynga, the maker of Farmville and other miscellaneous Facebook games, win this competition.

Yes, they are a successful company and their games may be fun (evidently, as there are over 80 million players of their games on Facebook) but I would hate to see them win over all of the game developers we all love. So far, they've managed to get the Facebook/Farmville zombies to swarm the voting, and steamroll devs like Infinity Ward, Rockstar, and Square Enix, not because they are better, but because of their masses on Facebook.

Now, they are up against Valve in the final four, and I am putting a request out to vote for Valve. eGO is based so heavily upon many of Valve's games, like TF2, CS:S, DoD:S... who which has been the producer of such masterpieces like Half-Life and Left 4 Dead as well. I do NOT want to see Farmville winning over games like these.

It's already been posted twice (once by me) in offtopic but neither post got responses. Probably should have put it here.

I voted and voted on twitter.

Zynga horde has so many people.. if they beat valve we have to really for blizzard of bioware, every dev that has been beaten all their fans need to vote against zynga.

Funny thing is most Zynga votes just see the popup on facebook, vote, then never visit the website again without knowing what they just did.

i swear if Valve loses to Zynga, I will FLIP A OLD GRANDMA!

on the other hand, Blizzard VS Valve would be interesting.

This made me laugh when i saw a march madness bracket of game developers...but is it over now?
 
uh-oh valve is up against Bioware and well... Bioware made some pretty good games that got several game of the years :O i can't go on any further both developers are awesome. I'm at a stand-by on this vote.
